MY LEADERSHIP VIEWS
Throughout my life, I have worked and collaborated with a multitude of individuals. From these interactions, I have learned so many invaluable lessons, formed the foundation of my core beliefs and established the guiding principles for my professional growth. I am consistently evolving and growing in my role as a leader, but at this point in my career these are my guiding principles.
MY BELIEFS
-
I believe that relationships, both with friends and foes, are truly essential to success.
-
I believe that no one is perfect, but we should all learn from our mistakes.
-
Every person brings value and is deserving of inclusion and respect. I recognize and value people...as it is people, and not machines or processes that ensure success.
-
I believe that everyone wants to be successful, appreciated and empowered.
MY EXPECTATIONS
-
I expect you to work do your best and give a good faith effort.
-
I expect you to be committed to your role in this organization. You should focus on this position and its work, not your next position.
-
I expect you to be direct in your communication...don't make me figure out what you mean.
-
I expect timely, quality work...don't expect or require others to make your work better.
-
I expect you to enjoy your job and if you don't find a new one.
-
If you are miserable at your job, it brings down the morale of the team.
-
If you have a great idea, pursue it.
-
If you have a problem, try to come with a solution.
-
Do what it takes to get the job done, but don't lose your priorities and not have an appropriate work/life balance.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT OF ME
-
I am committed to my work, my company and my team.
-
I will be consistently fair...which does not mean acting the same in all situations.
-
I believe in an "open door" policy and will be available when needed and the situation deserves priority.
-
I will honor the confidentiality of personal/individual situations whenever requested and appropriate.
-
I have a short attention span which gives me the ability to bring quick closure to issues.
-
I work to be a leader, not a manager.
-
I am an action person, if you bring me a problem expect me to begin working on how to resolve it.
